Our name, Cemre , heralds spring, and represents nature's cycle of continuous renewal without destroying the past. With this approach, we aim to create timeless and stylish designs for everyone, reflecting the diversity and elegance nature offers every season.

We believe in the importance of access to simple and conscious wardrobes made of natural fabrics, where every individual can freely express themselves. We advocate for everyone to have a balanced and fair existence in the fashion world; we believe that meaning, not speed, and valuable production, not consumption, should be the foundation. We believe that pieces from previous seasons, complemented by new designs, will always retain their value. With this philosophy, we offer not just clothing but a sustainable lifestyle.

Cemre Sila Atilgan Otar

Born in Bornova, Izmir, in 1996, Sıla, whose mother was a clothing teacher and father was a physics teacher, spent her childhood in an environment where both production and intellectual endeavor were intertwined. Driven by this dual inspiration, she completed a double major in Environmental and Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. While continuing her professional work in sustainable product development, she also creates content on social media about sustainable living and slow fashion.

Her strong connection to her mother's profession kept her childhood dream alive. This dream deepened over time with her interest in slow fashion and her knowledge of sustainability. Today, Cemre's sustainability principles are a reflection of this journey and learning process.

Kevser Atılğan

Born in 1968 in Demirci, Manisa, her parents were involved in carpet weaving and manufacturing, so she grew up surrounded by production and labor throughout her life. After completing her middle and high school education at Girls' Vocational High School, she graduated from Gazi University's Vocational Education Faculty, Department of Clothing Industry and Education, in 1990.

Throughout his career, he held various positions in both the private sector and vocational high schools. After retiring in 2022, he purchased another batch of industrial sewing machines, this time to fulfill his daughter's dreams. Today, he continues to touch upon every single one of Cemre's design, pattern, sewing, and quality processes with his work—this time, he's keeping his profession alive for his own stories.

At Cemre, every fabric we use is not just a material; it's a reflection of our philosophy of preserving what exists, renewing it, and living in harmony with nature. A product's journey begins with the selection of raw materials. We pay equal attention not only to how the product looks, but also to the raw materials it's made from and the processes involved in delivering it to you. Therefore, we incorporate the environmentally and skin-friendly quality of fibers derived from sustainable and natural sources into our products.

Our preferred linen fabrics carry the European Flax® certification . This certification guarantees high-quality linen produced in Europe using environmentally friendly agricultural practices.
In European Flax® certified linen:
Pesticides and GMO seeds are not used.
No artificial irrigation is used, only rainwater is used – thus conserving water resources.
Sustainable agricultural methods that nourish the soil and prevent erosion are implemented.
The fiber is biodegradable and can return to nature.
Production is carried out with minimum waste by using the entire flax plant.

At Cemre, we believe true style transcends fleeting trends. That's why we prioritize timelessness and simplicity in our designs. Each new design aims to renew itself while preserving the existing; therefore, it is conceived in harmony with the previous one. While seasons may change, the elegance offered by Cemre is not temporary, but rather a sustainable whole. Each piece is designed to be worn for many years, regardless of season, seasonal expectations, or fast-paced consumption habits. This approach also aims to encourage conscious consumption.

Our design approach, which combines high-quality materials, durable and timeless products, meticulous attention to detail in the production process, and complementary lines, creates a holistic design language that combines elegance and simplicity. This balances resource use and helps users add pieces to their wardrobes that they truly need and that allow them to express themselves freely, supporting our understanding of sustainable fashion.

Linen fabric tends to shrink during washing and drying due to its natural structure and low elasticity.
For this reason, at Cemre, linen fabrics undergo a special pre-washing process after sewing.
In this way, the fabric preserves its form and possible size and measurement losses are largely prevented when the product reaches the user.

At Cemre, every product is the bearer of labor, time and a meticulous production approach.
We shape our production process based on respect for nature, labor and people.
Every piece is produced under ethical conditions, with fair wage policies, and largely by local producers. We work with local producers in Izmir and aim to ensure transparency at every stage of production.

Due to our “less is more” approach, we produce limited quantities of demanded products.
Instead of overstock or uncontrolled production, we offer long-lasting, timeless pieces that are compatible with the previous collection.

For us, product durability is integral to design. That's why we pay close attention to stitching details, the quality of accessories and auxiliary materials used, the fabric's shape retention, and meticulous craftsmanship at every step.
At Cemre, production progresses not quickly, but consciously and sustainably.

We take responsibility for the entire process of our products until they reach you and ensure they comply with our sustainability principles. Aware of the environmental impact of our packaging and logistics processes, we choose plastic-free, minimal, functional, and durable kraft packaging in colorful colors. Our packaging approach is based solely on protecting the product and providing necessary information. We avoid aesthetically pleasing, non-functional, and wasteful materials and oversized packaging. Through the choices we make in our packaging and operational processes, we aim to minimize the carbon footprint of every shipment.
